Strategic Sustainability Framework
Responsible Investment Policy
At Yellowstone, we believe in the transformative power of responsible investment. Since 2020, as signatories of the Principles for Responsible Investment (PRI), we have integrated environmental, social, and governance (ESG) criteria into every stage of the investment process.
Our Responsible Investment Policy guides strategic decisions aimed at maximizing positive impact and mitigating risks, thereby promoting sustainability within the sector. Through this policy, we commit to:
Integrate ESG criteria into all our decisions and throughout the entire investment cycle.
Promote transparency and accountability in the entities in which we invest.
Foster a culture of sustainability within the sector by promoting the adoption of responsible principles.
Measure and communicate the impact of our actions, ensuring tangible progress toward a more sustainable future.
Actively collaborate to strengthen the implementation of the Principles for Responsible Investment.
Sustainability Strategy
In 2024, we renewed our sustainability vision with a more ambitious and structured ESG strategy, setting a clear path toward 2030. We defined concrete commitments and specific goals across three time horizons, aligned with our lines of work and strategic pillars.
This evolution reflects our conviction to generate a positive and lasting impact, guided by four fundamental pillars that inspire each of our actions.
TRANSPARENCY AND BUSINESS ETHICS
COMPREHENSIVE MANAGEMENT OF ESG FACTORS IN THE INVESTMENT PROCESS
HUMAN TALENT MANAGEMENT
STRATEGIC GENERATION OF ECONOMIC VALUE
Responsible Investment Committee
In 2024, we took a key step toward more conscious and strategic investing by strengthening our Internal Responsible Investment Committee, integrating an independent external member for the first time. Catalina Jiménez, Regional Leader for Latin America at Développement International Desjardins (DID), joined the team, bringing expert and global insight. This strengthening also expanded the Committee’s scope, consolidating its role in:
- Monitoring our ESG policy
- Conducting rigorous evaluation of socio-environmental due diligence
- Monitoring the performance of projects
- Defining clear social and environmental goals for our funds and professional management
Environmental and Social Risk Management System
Our Environmental and Social Risk Management System (ESRMS) is a comprehensive tool that incorporates market best practices to assess ESG risks in investment opportunities and in the performance of assets. This system ensures the establishment of internal processes, policies, and capabilities that enable the identification, assessment, mitigation, and monitoring of the socio-environmental risks to which projects are exposed.
Yellowstone’s ESRMS is structured in 6 stages:
Sustainable Development Goals
We adopt the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) as a strategic framework to guide our actions toward sustainable development. Through the responsible management of the assets in our portfolio, we prioritize and promote initiatives that contribute to global objectives such as climate action, equal opportunities, biodiversity conservation, and the strengthening of communities.
